Psiloritis, also known as Mount Ida, is the highest mountain in Crete, with an elevation of 2,456 meters. The impressive landscape features caves, karst formations, and alpine zones. Additionally, Psiloritis Natural Park is part of the UNESCO World Geoparks Network.
Historically, Psiloritis is linked to Zeus and the Diktaio Anthro cave. While ascending, hikers will pass the archaeological site of Zominthos, which contains the largest surviving Minoan villa.
