Terms & Conditions / Rental Policy

The Terms & Conditions will apply to the person who is paying for the rental and any associated costs (and may is the driver), as well as any (other) driver who is expressly indicated in the rental agreement and therefore being authorized to drive the Vehicle. All persons named in the rental agreement is jointly and severally liable for payment of sums due under the contract.

No other person not named on the Rental Agreement is authorized to drive the Vehicle.

BOOKING

Bookings refer to a specific car model. Select the car model which matches to your needs and collect the specific car model you have chosen and not any other similar. The only difference between the car you have chosen and the car we deliver to you, may be the color.

Rental days are calculated on a 24-hour basis, starting from the vehicle pick up time.

The minimum rental period is one day (24 hours).

PAYMENT TERMS

When the reservation is made through the internet site, it is required a downpayment of 20% and the remaining amount can be paid upon delivery of the vehicle. For the downpayment credit, debit or prepaid card can be used. The acceptable card types are Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, Diners, Discover and AmEx.

When picking up the car, no credit card charge is required if the Full Collision Damage Waiver (FCDW) with no excess has been chosen. In the case that insurance with an excess amount has been chosen (e.g CDW), then at the pick-up time it is necessary to have a credit (not debit card) which will be charged in advance by the amount of the excess. If everything is fine and the rental was according to the company’s terms, then the process of returning the corresponding amount to the card takes place.

PAYMENT SECURITY

All payments made using the card are processed through the electronic payment platform of “Nexi E-Commerce” of Nexi
Payments Greece S.A. and uses TLS 1.2 encryption protocol encryption with 128-bit (Secure Sockets Layer – SSL). Encryption is a
way of coding the information until it reaches its recipient, who will be able to decode it using the appropriate key.

DELIVERY & COLLECTION VEHICLES

We can deliver or collect the car in 24 hours basis from all supported locations in our booking engine. For places not included in our booking engine you may contact us in advance. There may be additional charges for some areas which are included in the initial price.

There may also be additional charges for deliveries and pickups between 11:30pm and 7:00am which are included in the initial price.

DRIVER’S AGE

The driver’s age must be a minimum of 18 years for all car categories. The maximum rental age is 82 years. An additional charge will be applied if the driver is under 21 (young driver fee) or over 75 (senior driver fee). This fee depends on the days and the rental car.

DRIVING LICENSE / NECESSARY DOCUMENTS

There is no minimum period required since the issuance of the driver’s license.

At the time of car pick-up, the driver is required to show his/her driver’s license and ID card or passport. The documents must of course be valid. Any copy or photo cannot be accepted.

TRAFFIC VIOLATIONS & FINES

For any fine resulting from violation of the Greek road traffic law during the rental, the driver should inform the company immediately. The corresponding amount of the administrative fine will be charged at the time of delivery-return of the car. In case of non-timely notification or non-presentation when returning the car, the company has the right to impose any additional charges that are necessary.

MILEAGE

Unlimited mileage is included in all rates.

FUEL POLICY

The company deliver the vehicles with full fuel level, and the renter is liable to return it with full fuel level as well. In the case of the missing fuel the renter will be charged with the amount of missing fuel and with an additional refuel charge of 10€.

ADDITIONAL DRIVERS

Up to 4 drivers can be registered on each rental contract. The charges for adding additional drivers are regulated by the company’s current price list.

INSURANCE

All cars and each rental include the following covers:

Third Party Insurance– The renter is insured in case of damages caused without his/her responsibility.

Public Liability Insurance- The renter’s liability is covered to a maximum of 1.300.000€ for death and bodily injuries and 1.300.000€ for material damages.

Personal Liability Insurance- Driver is insured to the amount of 15.000€. Passengers of the rental vehicle are insured for death or bodily injuries in case of accident to a maximum of 1.300.000€. Personal accident coverage applies even if the accident was caused by the driver’s own fault.

All rates, by default include the CDW insurance. Before the final step of booking and the payment, the renter must decide if he/she wants to upgrade the insurance by adding the FCDW and WUG. Exceptionally, in some cases the car rental can be combined with basic insurance coverage (NDW) after a specific agreement with the car rental company.

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)

In the case of damage to the car at the driver’s responsibility, the renter will be charged until the amount of the excess. The amount of the access will be from 500€ to 3.000€ depending on the category of the car. Damages to the interior of the car (upholstery, seats, dashboard, screen) are excluded and not covered from the insurance unless they were caused in an accident.

Full Collision Damage Waiver (FCDW)

The renter is insured for damages caused to the car at the driver’s responsibility with no obligation to pay any access. With this package no credit card needs to pre-authorize any amount as warranty. Theft & fire protection are also included in FCDW.

Theft Protection– The renter is insured in case the vehicle is stolen. Any stolen personal belongings in the interior of the car (e.g. travel bags, cellphones) are not covered by any insurance.

Fire Insurance– Fire insurance covers damage caused to the rental vehicle by fire, lightning strike or explosion.

Undercarriage, Wheels, Glasses & Mirrors are not included in this insurance package. Damages to the interior of the car (upholstery, seats, dashboard, screen) are excluded and not covered from the insurance unless they were caused in an accident.

Wheels, Under vehicle & Glasses Insurance (WUG)

The WUG insurance package includes the cover of Wheels, Undercarriage, Glasses & Mirrors. With WUG, the renter is insured for damages caused to the underside of the vehicle, glass, mirrors and tires with no obligations to pay any access. The undercarriage coverage doesn’t apply if it is determined that the vehicle has been driven off-road and not on asphalt roads.

NO Damage Waiver (NDW)

The renter is not insured for damages caused to the car at the driver’s responsibility and there is the obligation to pay the cost of any damage has been caused. In this case there is no damage waiver.

OTHER INSURANCE INFORMATION

Damage to the interior of the car is excluded and not covered by any insurance package and the corresponding repair costs are borne exclusively by the renter.

For any insurance coverage to apply, the driver of the car must always be registered in the contract.

The renter is not covered by any insurance collision damage caused by alcohol or drug or abuse.

The vehicle must be operated only in authorized streets (no off-road driving).

The renter must immediately inform the company in case of accident.

ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE

Roadside Assistance is free of charge and available 24/7. It is recommended to contact our office directly in the event of required roadside assistance.

Roadside Assistance is valid only within the boundaries of the island. In any other case, transportation costs are borne exclusively by the renter.

CAR REPLACEMENT

In the event of an accident, breakdown or damage to the vehicle through no fault of the renter, the company is obliged to replace it within 24 hours. The above company’s obligation to replace the car within 24 hours applies only within the boundaries of the island.

CAR TRANSPORT BY SHIP

The transport of the car by ship is only permitted if prior approval is obtained from the company. In this case, there is an additional charge as loading the car on a ship requires different insurance coverage. The additional charge depends on the category of the car and ranges from €35 to €90 per ship route. If the car is found to have entered a ship without the company’s permission, the company has the right to charge a fine equal to twice the normal charge

CAR INTERIOR CONDITION

The renter is obliged to take care of the good condition of the car’s interior. In case the condition of the car upon return requires biological cleaning (e.g. wet or very dirty seats and carpets), the company is entitled to charge the renter an additional amount of €100 to €150 depending on the condition.

NO SMOKING

Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the car.

The company reserves the right to charge the renter the amount of €150 in case it is found that this specific rule was not respected by the renter (strong smell).

TIRES DAMAGES

If the tire is repairable, the renter may repair it at the closer vulcanizer and if the rental is covered with the WUG insurance package and the vehicle has been driven on asphalt road, the company will refund any costs.

In case this needs replacement, the company is also obliged to cover the cost if the rental is covered with the WUG.

Otherwise, if the rental is not covered with the WUG or the car has been driven off-road, the renter is liable to cover all costs that arise.

VEHICLE MAINTENANCE

The company guarantees that all the cars are safe and well-maintained.

During the car rental, the renter must take all necessary protective measures to keep the Vehicle in the same condition as that in which he/she has taken possession. The renter should remain alert to any signal from the warning lights on the Vehicle’s dashboard and takes any necessary protective actions according to the instruction manual.

Any modification to or mechanical interventions on the Vehicle are forbidden without company’s prior written authorization. Should this rule be breached, the renter must bear the duly justified costs of restoring the Vehicle in the same state in which You have taken possession. The renter will be liable towards for any detrimental consequence arising out of any infringement to the abovementioned maintenance obligations.

KEY LOSS

The renter is liable for all costs to replace keys which have been lost or damaged and the cost of retrieval of keys which have been locked inside the vehicle. The cost of key replacement is 250€. The cost of retrieval ranges from 100€ to 200€ depending on the place where the vehicle was stopped.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancel more than 72 hours prior to pick up time. In this case, the amount paid as a deposit upon booking is fully refunded.

Cancel within 72 hours prior to pick up time. In this case the company has the right to hold and charge the 50% of the downpayment.

The refunds are made by crediting the card used.

No Show at the scheduled pick-up time. If the renter doesn’t cancel the reservation prior to the time pick-up the company has the right to charge all the prepaid amount.

CHANGE THE BOOKING

The renter may request a booking change at any time, and the company will confirm if the requested change is possible.

RENTAL EXTENSION

In case the renter wants to extend the hire period shown on rental agreement, he/she should contact to the company and check if the car is available. The company has the right to deny the extension of the rental if the car is already booked.

EARLY RETURN

Any return of the Vehicle at an earliest stage than the date and time mentioned on the Rental Agreement shall not give rise to any reimbursement.

LATE RETURN

If the Vehicle is not returned on the date and time shown on the Rental Agreement, and if the renter didn’t inform immediately about the delay, the company shall regard the Vehicle as having been unlawfully appropriated and will be entitled to report this to the competent local authorities.

In this case, the company will be entitled to charge one additional day for each day of rental at the applicable rental price plus a fine amount due to the lack of information.

USE OF CAR & DAMAGES

All insurance coverings & waivers are valid provided that the renter has complied with all terms & conditions.

In the event of a collision-accident, the renter is required to inspect the vehicle and report any damage to the company, as soon as possible without moving the car, to provide all information and photos necessary to submit a full description of the incident. No accident/damage report will be accepted upon return of the car without prior notice.

The company is entitled to claim compensation from the renter up to the repairing cost of the damage as below:

  • For damages caused when the vehicle is operated on any unauthorized road, non-asphalt road or off-road.
  • For damages caused when the renter violates parking rules
  • For damages caused when the vehicle is operating in any race, speed test, rally or contest.
  • For damages caused when the vehicle is driven by any person who is not a registered driver on the rental contract.
  • For damages caused when the driver of the vehicle is under alcohol or drug influence that affects his ability to drive.
  • For damages caused when the vehicle is willfully or recklessly used by the renter (e.g. damages caused to doors. body of the car by the wind, damages to clutch/gearbox, damages to the vehicle interior, damages caused by animals)

CAR TRACKING

All company’s cars are equipped with a telematics system to enable their tracking in case of need. Information such as driving the car off-road or generally dangerous driving or transporting it by ship without the company’s permission may be used to impose additional charges.

PERSONAL DATA

The company may use any information the renter has given, including the details of any named driver, for the purposes of the rental to verify identity, collect payment, monitor fraud and deal with any issues before, during and after the Hire Period.

The company collects and processes data to provide the renter with vehicles rental services and for its own marketing purposes such as special promotions and loyalty program. The renter is informed of any information that must be collected by the company whether in station or online. The renter is made aware that his/her personal data may be notified to the police authorities at their request in case of any traffic road offence and/or any crime committed during his/her rental.

 

By signing the rental contract, the renter accepts and agrees to all the terms and conditions listed above.
