The Imbros Gorge is one of Crete’s most popular and frequently visited gorges. Located near the town of Sfakion, it is part of the European Path E4. The gorge stretches for 11 kilometres and typically takes 2 to 3 hours to cross. It boasts stunning natural beauty, featuring impressive rock formations, narrow passages, and lush vegetation. The gorge is home to a variety of animal and plant species, including wild goats, eagles, and numerous types of herbs. The best times to visit are during spring or autumn.
